In statements to reporters, the prime minister said the Portuguese “are not interested in whether government proposals are proposals for legislation or legislative powers” and added that his priority was to solve the problems of the population.

Montenegro also said that in the campaign for March legislative elections, only one candidate “suggested that he would govern only if he won the election – and that candidate is now prime minister.”

“This is a strategic planning project for this resource, aimed at improving its storage, its efficient use and the harmonization between all forms of use, be it for agriculture, tourism or human consumption,” he explained.

Montenegro also highlighted the cooperation that takes place between the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Ministry of Environment and Energy, noting that “as a result of the combined efforts of these two ministries, strategies are born that will solve real problems of people.”
