The mother of Portuguese-Brazilian twins this Friday denied reports that she spoke with the President of the Republic or his son Nuno Rebelo de Sousa about the treatment of the children, which cost 4 million euros. “This was a false and unfortunate verdict. I was stupid,” Daniela Martins said, referring to a video where she appears to say she was talking to Marcelo’s sister-in-law.
In the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry, he also accused TVI of setting a “trap” by being “recorded at home” without consent, saying that he had filed a complaint with the DIAP in Oeiras.
Daniela guaranteed that she never contacted “any government agency,” ensuring contact “with hospitals and doctors.”
When asked about emails sent to Nuno Rebel de Sousa and former Health Minister António Lacerda Sales, she stated that “several people had access” to her personal email account.
