Lisbon’s PSP Criminal Investigation Department arrested two men, aged 24 and 42, for domestic violence. The youngest was caught in the Parc des Nations area after police were called after the pair attacked each other in the street.
The victim and witnesses confirmed the attack, and the man was arrested. The attacker, who was present in court, was released only with an identity card and a residence permit.
In the case of the elderly man, the crime occurred in Amador. The couple had been in a relationship for more than 20 years, and the man could not accept the fact that at the beginning of the year the woman left home – due to her husband’s alcoholism – with their 10-year-old son. The man began to stalk and control her at work. During his arrest, he was prohibited from approaching the victim and was subjected to electronic surveillance.
