French Prime Minister and presidential coalition candidate Gabriel Attal this Sunday called on voters not to give “a single vote” to the far-right National Union party, which won the first round of legislative elections.
“I say this with the same strength with which I address each of our voters: not a single vote should be given to the National Union, in these circumstances France deserves that we never waver,” Gabriel Attal said in his speech after the forecast of the results of the legislative elections in Paris.
The prime minister said the goal of the second round of legislative elections, which will take place next Sunday, July 7, is to “deprive the far right of an absolute majority” so that a National Assembly can be created in which his party can have “enough weight to implement the majority of projects and ideas among the republican forces.”
