A 20-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday evening when his motorcycle collided with two cars in Paredes. Another person sustained minor injuries in the same accident.
At around 11:00 p.m., the Paredes firefighters were alerted to a traffic accident on the A4 motorway in the direction of Amarante/Porto at km 30. An ambulance and resuscitation team were also called.
Resuscitation measures began. However, the young man did not survive the severity of his injuries and died on the spot.
The GNR Traffic Squad was mobilized to support the relief operations and ensure traffic management. The GNR Porto Accident Investigation Team is investigating the causes of the accident.
Paredes firefighters took the minor victim to Penafiel Hospital. The body of the deceased was taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
