The search for three missing people on a ship that docked at Marinha Grande on Wednesday continues for the third day in a row this Friday, according to the Nazaré port captain.
Speaking to Lusa, João Severino Lourenço said that searches are ongoing with the participation of an ocean patrol vessel and Amarok vehicles from the Seawak project and the maritime police.
“During the course of today, at the request of the ship owner, technical diving operations will also be carried out by a private company in order to determine a plan for refloating and subsequently removing the vessel,” he said.
According to the Nazaré port captain, technical dives will be supervised by the maritime police, although it is not known what time they will begin.
The search for the three fishermen was carried out at night by forces of the Setubal NRP, the Portuguese Navy and units of the local command of the Nazaré maritime police as part of a routine patrol.
