The 24-year-old man was in pre-trial detention this Friday afternoon after the Ovar GNR presented him to the criminal investigation judge at the Aveiro Court on suspicion of robbery committed by breaking into a home in the Ovar area. During the same investigation, the second detainee, aged 19, learned that a measure of coercion had been taken to periodically perform at his place of residence.
The arrests were made following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Owara PNP into a spate of robberies and thefts in the Cortegas area. During the investigation, law enforcement agencies recovered several gardening and household machines stolen by the suspects.
Those detained have criminal records.
