The Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing (MIH) and ANA-Aeroportos carried out the first technical visit to the Alcochete shooting range this Thursday to assess the condition of the land chosen to host the new Lisbon airport.
In a statement, the ministry said that “together with three technical specialists, it accompanied the first technical visit carried out today to the Alcochete shooting range in order to assess the state of the area and comply with the assumptions defined in Council of Ministers Regulation No. 66/2024, which determined the location and development of the new Lisbon airport in this location.”
According to MIH, “the visit was carried out at the request of the concessionaire ANA Aeroportos, who was also present, within the framework of the obligations established in the Concession Agreement for the Provision of Public Services at Airports Located in Mainland Portugal and the Autonomous Region of the Azores”, which was celebrated in 2012 between the Portuguese State and the concessionaire.
