River traffic between Barreiro and Lisbon with restrictions until 28 February.

River services between Barreiro in the Setúbal region and Terreiro do Paco in Lisbon will continue to have weekday service restrictions until February 28, according to Transtejo/Soflusa.

The service has been limited since January 4, after the collision of the Gil Vicente.

Initially, the restrictions were provided until February 10, but the company announced in the information published on its website that these restrictions were extended.

The passenger boat Soflusa, connecting Lisbon with the south bank of the Tagus River, collided with a speedboat of the Maritime Police on the night of January 4.

According to the National Maritime Authority (AMN), the Marine Police boat was on a routine mission in Mar da Paglia, at the mouth of the Tagus River.

After the accident, a marine accident investigation was launched to determine the causes.

Remote links are indicated on the company’s website, in the “Information about passengers” tab.

Transtejo is responsible for connecting Seixal, Montijo, Cacilhas and Trafaria/Porto Brandão in the Setúbal area to Lisbon, while Soflusa handles the connection between Barreiro, also in the Setúbal area, and Terreiro do Paço, in Lisbon.
