The State of the Nation debate in parliament this Wednesday will examine the government’s measures during its 100 days in power, with the opposition questioning the performance of the executive.
On the right, Chega will bring up the issues of health care, migration and security forces, issues on which the panel believes that “there was no difference between the SDP and the PS,” he said. CM The party’s parliamentary leader, Pedro Pinto, added that “the Portuguese have not felt any difference, despite the government’s many promises.” The Liberal initiative requires more than just advertising.
The left-wing PS accused the government of damaging the welfare state and promised to present proposals on justice and migration in September. Paula Santos, head of the PCP college, explained CM that the party would focus on “inequality and injustice”, with a particular focus on increasing the profits of large companies, which would also include cutting the IRC. “Wages and pensions are out of the question, but for large companies they are of great importance,” he added. The Left Bloc also criticized the measures for the “privileged elite”, and Livre lamented that the country was immersed in contradictions.
As for the Social Democrats, they believe that it will be difficult for the opposition to criticize the government after the measures proposed by the executive power of Luis Montenegro.

The State of the Nation debate will last around four hours, starting at 9am. The government will have 40 minutes to begin the debate and 10 minutes to conclude, with the responsibility for the first request for clarification falling on the PC.

Prime Minister Luis Montenegro returns to Parliament for the last debate before the parliamentary recess. The Assembly of the Republic will resume work on September 10.
