Trump’s Company Is Selling Sneakers With Iconic Image After Attack. And They Aren’t Cheap

A company owned by Donald Trump is selling $299 (about €273) sneakers featuring the former US president covered in blood and raising his fist after an assassination attempt.

The white sneakers are sold as “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT High-Tops” for $299 (274 euros at current exchange rates) on a Trump-branded shoe website run by CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump reported in his 2023 financial disclosure.

The company says the new sneakers are limited to just 5,000 pairs and are expected to hit stores in September or October. It also says 10 pairs will be randomly autographed.

“These limited-edition high-top sneakers feature the iconic image of Trump with his fist raised, paying tribute to his unwavering determination and courage,” the statement read.

“With only 5,000 pairs available, each is a true collector’s item. Show your support and patriotic pride with these exclusive sneakers that capture a defining moment in history,” he continues.

CIC Ventures is the same company that unveiled the “Never Surrender High-Tops,” a glittery gold sneaker featuring an American flag graphic for $399 (€366).

The sale is another sign that the former president’s allies are looking to capitalize on Trump’s reaction after the shooting at a rally Saturday in Butler, Pa. Trump stood up and pumped his fist into the crowd, muttering “fight, fight.”

Trump was wounded Saturday during a campaign event in Pennsylvania when a man fired a shot toward the stage where the former president was delivering a speech. One of the bullets struck the former president in the right ear, causing a minor injury.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro announced that former firefighter Corey Comperator, 50, died protecting his family from gunfire from 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, who was killed by authorities.

The candidate for a second term in the White House was given a hero’s welcome on Monday at the opening night of the Republican National Convention. He looked visibly emotional with a bandage over his right ear as musician Lee Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA.”

Republicans hope those moments will help him pave the way back to the White House when he challenges Democratic President Joe Biden for reelection.

Biden has tried to convince his party that he can serve another four years, but there are concerns and calls for another candidate after his debate performance last month.
