According to the statement, the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing and the Secretary of State for Infrastructure met with the board of directors of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal as part of the work on the new Lisbon airport.
“The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Miguel Pinto Luz, and the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Hugo Espírito Santo, received the Board of Directors of ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, represented by the Executive President (CEO) Thierry Ligonier and the President of the Board of Directors, José Luis Arnaut,” the note said.
Thus, “the meeting marks another step in the fulfilment of the obligations under the concession agreement with ANA” with the aim of carrying out “the development of preparatory works for the start of construction of the Luis de Camões Airport”.
“The meeting discussed some aspects that are already considered decisive for the preparation of the initial report (the “High Level Assumptions Report”) on the development of the capacity of Lisbon Airport within the framework of the concession agreement between the Portuguese State and the company, which will be delivered by the end of 2024,” the trusteeship emphasized.
According to the ministry, the meeting will take place after the letter sent by the government on June 17, which begins the countdown of the construction of the Luis de Camões Airport, as well as after the first technical visit to the Alcochete shooting range, the site of which will host Luis de Camões Airport.
“This is a path with a clear direction towards the construction of the Luis de Camões airport, a goal to which we are all committed as a country,” stressed Miguel Pinto Luz, quoted in the same article.
