Five Vietnamese tourists found dead in a room at the luxury Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, more than a decade ago have accused Sherin Chong, the main suspect, of fraud.

The woman was also found dead in the room with signs of poisoning. The investigation found that there was no sign of forced entry and that, given the history of tension between the participants, it is likely that Sherin committed suicide by ingesting a toxic substance that she added to the victims’ tea. “It is likely that the case is connected with a debt problem. There are no other versions. The culprit is among the six dead, because they were the only ones who entered the room. There was no one else,” the head of the investigation said.
Preliminary results show that six glasses were found in the room, each containing a small amount of white powder residue. The food in the room was untouched, and tea, energy drinks and honey were found in the bathroom.
