PS Secretary General Pedro Nuno Santos warned on Tuesday that the publication of the parliamentary diplomas approved by the opposition “has nothing to do” with the negotiations on the 2025 state budget, separating the two issues.
“I have heard many analyses, but I regret this. The diplomas approved by the Assembly of the Republic have been made public. We do not talk about the state budget and we do not read between the lines of what the President of the Republic writes,” the PS leader responded to journalists after it became known that Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa had given the green light to diplomas approved in parliament against the will of the PSD/SDS-PP.
According to Pedro Nuno Santos, these published diplomas “should come into force and this has nothing to do with the state budget” for 2025.
