The government has decided to dissolve the administration of the Republic of Moldova headed by José Realinho de Matos, the Ministry of Finance confirmed to Lucé this Thursday.
This decision, put forward by the magazine Jornal de Negócios, was communicated this Thursday to José Realinho de Matos, who has led the Republic since the end of 2023.
According to Jornal de Negócios, the departure was justified by the administration’s more reactive than proactive stance, as well as the failure to provide timely information to the ministry.
The Ministry of Finance confirmed the information to the Lusa agency, but did not provide additional information about the departure of the administration of the company managing state holdings.
The party manages several public holdings in companies such as TAP and Inapa, which are currently in bankruptcy proceedings.
At the same time, the Finance Ministry stated that they learned about the “critical situation” Inapa found itself in only on July 11 (when the shares were suspended) and it was then that they called in Parpublika, which explained that Inapa had asked for an injection of 12 million euros for the urgent needs of the treasury in the operation in Germany, when it already had a request for 15 million euros for restructuring.
The financing failed and the company entered bankruptcy proceedings, with Inapa’s executive committee even stating earlier this month that it was “never possible” to reach a solution to capitalise the company “due to the unavailability” of Parpública’s largest shareholder, with whom it had established “more than 50 contacts” to recapitalise and restructure the group.
