France is increasingly becoming a veritable “Entroncamento phenomenon” when it comes to the idiotic actions of its drivers.
A driver in a hurry collided with a truck he was overtaking when he realized he was being monitored by radar for his excessive speed.
Panicked at the thought of being “photographed” by the device, he aborted the maneuver and attempted to return to his lane, but not before colliding with the rear of a heavy vehicle.
The accident, in which no one was injured, happened last Friday as the pair were driving on the National 4 highway near the town of Bannost-Villegagnon, 75 kilometres southeast of Paris.
What was unusual about the whole situation was that the gendarmes discovered that the truck driver had lost his driving license; the patrol invited him to “visit” the police station with an escort to be fined!
