A 45-year-old man was arrested after a check of the GNR de Oliveira do Bairro restaurant and drinks establishment. The man was detained on suspicion of committing a drug-related crime.
It was the suspicious behavior of the detainee that alerted the guards. Upon the patrol’s arrival, the man quickly headed to the bathroom. He even tried to hide the bag in which he kept the drug, but was discovered by the guards.
During the personal search, law enforcement authorities seized 36 doses of hashish, 765 euros in cash, a mobile phone, precision scales and a cutting knife.
The detainee was named as the accused and the facts were referred to the Oliveira do Bairro Court.
