A new stage (there are now four), a simultaneous event with the city of Madrid, a new payment system on site using a wristband, a greater emphasis on accessibility and another three-year contract with Meo. These are some of the novelties of this year’s Kalorama festival, which opens its doors tomorrow for its third edition in the Parque da Bela Vista in Lisbon. The organization made its traditional visit to the venue on Tuesday. The event is expected to attract around 100,000 people over three days (figures seen in the two previous editions).
There will be 53 musical performances to listen to, featuring established and emerging names on the national and international scene. Highlights include headliners Massive Attack, Sam Smith, LCD Soundystem or Burna Boy, as well as Gossip, Peggy Gou, The Kills, dEus or Soulwax.
Kalorama, which has four stages, is new this year with the Lisbon stage, designed by local artist L.S. from Chelas and dedicated to the theme of “Community”. The festival opens at 4:00 PM.
