Justice Department auctions luxury cars and other assets seized in lawsuits

Several luxury cars worth more than 750 thousand euros, as well as a vessel worth 100 thousand euros, seized as part of a criminal case, will be put up for sale at an electronic auction, the Ministry of Justice reported on Thursday.

These are luxury items that will be put up for sale via electronic auction by the Asset Management Directorate of the Institute of Financial Management and Judicial Technology (IGFEJ) and can be viewed on the IGFEJ website.

“The cars provided include a Porsche 911 GT3 RS worth over 235,000 euros, a Ferrari FF 151 worth over 197,000 euros, a Bentely Continental GTC V8 (convertible) worth over 160,000 euros, a Porsche Cayenne S 4.2 V8 worth over 79,000 euros and two Maserati Granturismo S 4.7 V8s worth over 70,000 euros,” the IGFEJ report says.

According to IGFEJ, the items put up for sale via the online auction also include “a yacht-type vessel worth 100,000 euros, several lots of gold, silver and other metal items, and several other vehicles.”

The sale is carried out via an electronic auction on the E-leilões platform, with the deadline for submitting bids for some advertisements ending at the end of September and for others at the beginning of October.

Interested parties can view the advertisements of all products available for electronic sale on the official GAB/IGFEJ page, accessible at https://igfej.justica.gov.pt/Gabinete-de-Administracao-Bens/Anuncios-de-Venda-de-Bens

The mission of the Asset Management Office is to manage, preserve and administer assets confiscated, returned or lost to the State, within the framework of national processes or judicial cooperation acts.

Its activities are guided by the principle of transparency, aimed at the rational and efficient management of the assets under its management and, where possible, the growth of their assets, with sale being one of the options permitted by current legislation.
