A 30-year-old man was arrested last Friday by the territorial post of the Hungarian People’s Republic in Silves for drug trafficking in Silves.
The PNR was informed of a robbery at a commercial establishment and the suspect, who was still near the scene, was quickly located near his vehicle where they smelled a strong odor of narcotic product.
During the investigation, a large quantity of drugs was seized: 25 doses of hashish, 18 doses of marijuana, 47.35 grams of MDMA, 40.80 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms and 4.20 grams of amphetamine. Several items were also seized, including two knives, several electronic devices, bottles of alcoholic beverages, 2,064 euros in cash and the suspect’s own car.
The detainee was already present at the Silves Court, and was subject to measures of coercion to appear at the police station at his place of residence, a ban on staying in the municipality of Silves and a ban on being absent from the territory of the municipality in the area of his residence.
The action was supported by military personnel from the Silves Criminal Investigation Centre.
