The colors of the Ukrainian flag have been illuminating the façade of the Assembly of the Republic since late this Thursday in solidarity as part of the first year of the start of the Russian invasion of the neighboring country.
In a message posted on the social network Twitter, the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Augusto Santos Silva, expressed “full solidarity with the people of Ukraine” by posting a photo of the São Bento Palace illuminated by Ukrainian flowers.
“Tonight, the facade of the Palace of São Bento is illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, which testifies to the solidarity of the Assembly of the Republic with this country, as it marks a year since the beginning of the invasion of Russia,” can also be read on the official account of the Assembly of the Republic on Twitter.
