The Assembly of the Republic rejected this Friday two bills submitted by PCP and BE to enforce the condemning decisions of the Office of Working Conditions (ACT).
Both projects received the same number of votes, with PS, PSD, Chega and Iniciativa Liberal voting no, PAN abstaining, and PCP, BE and Livre voting yes.
The PCP suggested that “in the event of a situation of illegal service request by ACT under section 15.º-A of Service Act No., that” judgment of conviction “.
The Communists also wanted the issuance of warnings “to be limited to cases of violations classified as minor and not immediately causing serious harm to workers.”
BE also proposed to give “executive character to indictments” of the ACT to allow layoffs for breaking the rules, as well as to deepen “the anti-harassment regime and the changes made in 2017, sharing the burden of proof (employee establishes facts, employer will be held responsible for proof that they do not constitute harassment).”
