The SP statement said that the detainee and the victim, aged 34, both immigrants, met as part of a Portuguese language course for foreigners.
“Because the victim was currently unemployed, he asked fellow students to help him find a job, and the defendant, under the pretext of a job offer, lured the victim to his home and under threat of death and the use of edged weapons, forcing her into sexual acts,” the text says. .
The detainee will be present at the first judicial examination for the application of such coercive measures as he deems appropriate.
