On Tuesday, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Belgian club Brugge again 5-1 in the second leg of the 8th in Lisbon.
After a 2-0 victory in the first leg in Brugge, the “incarnate” defeated the Estadio da Luz with goals from Rafa (38 minutes), Goncalo Ramos (45 + 2 and 57), João Mario (71, from the penalty spot) and David Neres ( 77) before Meyer (87) pulled one back for the away side.
The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League will take place on 17 March at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
