The international tender for the provision of services for the operation and maintenance of the SIRESP network was completed after the approval of all contracts by the Accounts Chamber, the company operating the system said on Wednesday.
“The process of providing O&M services for Portugal’s Integrated Emergency and Safety Network System (SIRESP) was completed this week following the approval by the Court of Accounts of the last three lots of an international open tender, which allowed for big savings of up to 11 million euros for the state,” explains Siresp SA in a statement accessed by Lusa.
Last week, Minister of the Interior José Luis Carneiro already announced that the Audit Chamber had approved four of the seven contracts relating to the seven tender lots.
The state-owned company Siresp, SA, which manages and coordinates the state’s emergency and security communications network, announces that the public tender has been successfully completed and that the last contract for services for the implementation and operation of the SIRESP Security Operations Center was awarded this Wednesday, which was won by Altice Labs.
Siresp, SA emphasizes that the tender registered “a transparent procedure and guaranteed free competition between all 13 competitors who submitted 16 proposals”.
According to the company that manages SIRESP, the award was made “by the deadline set by the state until December 31, 2022,” with seven contracts sent “by December 22, 2022 to the Accounts Chamber,” whose last visa was received on Tuesday.
Siresp SA states that it will now begin the process of transferring services between current companies and future service providers for all tender lots up to 180 days.
In a conversation with Lusa, the Minister of the Interior highlighted the savings of about 11 million euros compared to the amount announced in the tender.
“Through an international tender that promoted competition, impartiality and impartiality, the state managed to save around 11 million euros and increase its strategic autonomy in the management and operation of its emergency network,” said José Luis Carneiro.
The international public tender for the provision of CIRESP services was launched by the Government in June last year, it consisted of seven lots and had a cost of 75 million euros for a period of five years, concluded for 64 million euros.
In addition to Altice Labs, the other companies that won the international open tender and will now operate SIRESP are Motorola, which will support the tetra network, NOS, the winner of two bids for terrestrial transmission services and satellite transmission reservation. , Moreme, to supply power via generators to SIRESP base stations, Omtel, which will be responsible for maintaining the basic system support infrastructure, and No Limits, which will be responsible for maintaining and developing network information systems.
The company also mentions that the concluded contracts provide for the development of the network towards the integration of new technological solutions, suggesting a desire to transfer all management of the SIRESP network to the state, which “will have an emergency communication system and more stable, reliable and reliable protection.”
