The Prime Minister of the Azores (PSD/CDS-PP/PPM) refused this Wednesday to submit a vote of confidence to the regional parliament proposed by leader Chegi after the Liberal Initiative violated the parliamentary protection agreement with the PSD.
“A government that is a benchmark of stability has no reason to be a factor of instability,” José Manuel Boleiro told reporters when asked about statements by Chega President Andre Ventura that he was going to invite the Azore government to submit a vote of confidence in the executive branch in the regional parliament.
“I was not the cause of any problem that caused the instability,” stressed the Social Democrat José Manuel Boleiru in statements to the media on the sidelines of the plenary meeting of the Regional Legislative Assembly, which is taking place in the city of Horta, on the island of Faial.
