In the second half, Rio Ave returned with a desire to correct the result. Vila Condens had better possession of the ball, but failed to translate their superiority into goals. Minutes passed, Sp. Braga managed to outnumber and alarm the opponent. However, after a phase of seeming balance, Ricardo Horta struck and increased the score to 3-0. The goal had the power to lift Minho’s spirits and cost Jonathan the hard work, who, even after scoring three goals, avoided the result reaching disastrous numbers. However, in the final stretch of the game, Rio Ave re-entered the game and still managed to close the difference at the expense of Boateng and Aziz, forcing Sp. Braga for extra work.
