A fundraiser launched on a Facebook group in support of the security forces, which has 46,000 members, has raised €2,723 until this Sunday to help Beja GNR soldier Carlos Diaz.
It is recalled that part of the soldier’s nose was bitten off by a martial arts practitioner who attacked two other guard colleagues during a road inspection check that took place early in the morning on January 13 this year.
The goal is to reach at least five thousand euros. The money is transferred to a bank account opened by Carlos Diaz for this purpose. In addition to health care costs, the goal is to help pay legal fees in a criminal proceeding against the aggressor. It should be recalled that the GNR guarantees that it provides assistance to the three soldiers who were attacked that morning.
