A 17-year-old missing in Matosinhos was found dead this Thursday afternoon. The body was discovered at 18:44. The police and firemen tried all day to find the young man.
The boy, a Cape Verdean citizen, went to the beach with six other friends. In the afternoon, they decided to go for a swim and ended up with difficulty getting out of the sea. However, Matosinhos’ swimmer rescue system managed to save these six young people.
Several means of the Maritime Administration and an Air Force helicopter were involved in the search.
In addition, this Thursday, the Maritime Authority warned of the need to be careful during this hot season, but still without constant monitoring of Portuguese beaches.
