The man who exposed secret US documents on various topics, including plans for a war in Ukraine, is a young man in his early 20s, a weapons enthusiast working at a military base. The documents were discovered in a group created in 2020 on the social app Discord by a member named “OG”.
According to an American newspaper Washington Post, a young man has been sharing secret US government documents for several months, and the source of this information is the military base where he works.
Another member of that group said that OG revealed that he spent hours handwriting secret documents he had access to because he wanted to keep people in that social circle in the know. When he got tired of transcribing, he started posting photos of the documents he was accessing.
ABOUT Washington Post shows that he spoke to several members of this Discord group, and that they all confirm the same story. They say they had access to several confidential US government documents, ranging from topics such as geopolitical analysis to “analysis of international governments and how to interfere in elections.” These members claim to know OG’s real name and where he works, but have declined to share this information as the FBI is looking for the source of the recent leaks. He is said to be about 20 years old.
