The body of a man was found floating on the Martinhal beach in Sagres this Friday. The alarm was raised by a fisherman who was on site around 7:00 am.
“The body was removed from the water by the rescue station crew and taken to Porto da Baleira in Sagres, where the health delegate pronounced death on the spot,” the Maritime Authority said in a statement.
The body was in the process of decomposition.

Members of the Lagos Marine Police, the Sagres Rescue Station and volunteer firefighters from Vila do Bispo were at the scene.
Firefighters later took the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Portimão.
The maritime police figured out the incident and are trying to establish the circumstances of the death of a man.
