The Minister of the Interior assured this Friday that the police forces will continue to fight “without a truce” against drug trafficking, without territories prohibited for state power and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.
“The police will fight mercilessly [o tráfico de droga]. There are no forbidden territories for the democratic power of the state, and thus it will continue to be so,” José Luis Carneiro told reporters on the sidelines of the RTP 2 civil society conference in Matosinhos, Porto district.
This is how the Minister reacted to the anti-drug operation carried out by the PSP on Thursday in Porto, which resulted in the arrest of 15 people and the seizure of 11 kg of drugs (62,000 doses), 13,000 euros, cars, motorcycles and weapons.
