The Minister of Justice said this Wednesday that she expects an understanding “in the very short term” between the government and the bailiffs, who this Wednesday went on strike until May 5, promising the approval of the Bailiff Regulations.
“We hope that we will be able to reach an agreement with the trade unions as soon as possible so that we can resolve this issue. We are working on it. We work daily on the Statute of Bailiffs. Catarina Sarmento i Castro stressed that the stoppage, which began this Wednesday, is a “right” of judicial officials, “a form of struggle, appropriately called a strike”, in “classic form”.
