Because the commission of inquiry has the right to seek clarification from any person in charge of administration,” José Luis Carneiro told reporters in Portimão on the sidelines of the launch of the Dedicated Rural Fire Extinguishing Device (DECIR) 2023.
The minister repeated in the Algarve what he had already told reporters in the morning in Setúbal, confirming that he had received a call from the Minister of Infrastructure on April 26 and then put João Galamba in touch with the national director of the PSP.
He also explained that what has been done since then is in the protocols and in the prosecutor’s office.
“What I will say in the commission of inquiry is what I am saying here. There is no other fact that I could report to the commission of inquiry that I have not reported here today. [sexta-feira]”, he stressed, speaking to reporters in the early afternoon in Portimão.
