Russia returned this Friday to attack the Ukrainian capital for the sixth day in a row, using 36 missiles and “drones” shot down by Ukrainian air defenses, the Kiev military administration said. Two people were injured as a result of falling debris.
According to a statement by the Ukrainian Air Force, quoted by Reuters, 15 cruise missiles and 21 drones were shot down. The same source claims that the Russian military offensive began at about 3 am local time.
“Terror continues in Kyiv with the use of airstrikes. The terrorists are in desperation and are attacking the capital almost non-stop, ”the military department said in a statement, which emphasizes that this is already the sixth air strike on the Ukrainian capital in six days.
Russian forces used a combination of “drones” (unmanned aerial vehicles), Iranian-made Shahed explosives launched “from various directions” and cruise missiles fired from aircraft from the Caspian Sea, officials said.
