75 performances on five stages over four days, with about 143,000 people, of which 40 percent were foreigners, concluded the 10th Primavera Sound Festival on Saturday. The event, which saw a few firsts in terms of venue this year, already has a very similar 2024 return date. According to the organization, the 11th Primavera Sound will take place on June 7, 8 and 9 next year, and the recruitment of artists is already underway, although none have closed yet.
This year, about 38,000 people passed through Primavera Sound in Porto on the first day, 38,500 on Thursday, between 30 and 32,000 on Friday and about 35,000 on Saturday.
It should be remembered that this year the festival, which once again took place in the Parque da Cidade, made a number of changes and improvements to the aviary, starting with an increase in the usable area by five hectares, repositioning of the main stages, new routes for greater mobility, larger areas for bathrooms, bars and food. However, Primavera Sound will return to a three-day format next year.
