A young man who has been missing in Esmoriz since last Sunday morning was found alive this Wednesday in Barrinha de Esmoris.
The boy was conscious and, still in the water, called for help. People who were walking along the footpaths eventually heard the distress call and alerted the authorities. A young man from Guimarães is being treated in an INEM ambulance and will be taken to the hospital ward.
The boy was last seen at the venue of the music festival in Esmoriz, Ovar.
Early Wednesday morning, the 22-year-old’s clothes and shoes were found in a wooded area near Barrinha de Esmoriz, next to the southern entrance to the walkway. The Judicial Police were called to the scene and began investigating the disappearance.
