Interior Minister José Luis Carneiro said this Saturday that there will be no border reset “literally” on World Youth Day (WYD), but only “non-systematic land controls”.
Speaking to reporters in Arcos de Valdeves, Viana do Castelo area, where the new hangar of the local air resources center was opened, the minister also assured that the security and mobility plans for WYD are “closed” and that Portugal is ready to welcome the journey.
“[Nas fronteiras, serão feitos] non-systematic ground control, only in cases where there is a risk signal,” said José Luis Carneiro, who this Saturday faced the concerns of the mayors of Alto Minho about this.
