This Friday, the judicial police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of committing several robberies between May 27 and July 21 in the areas of Lisbon, the Sintra line and the Algarve.
According to the SP statement, the targets of the man, who acted alone, were “banking and exchange offices, CTT stations and a van carrying valuables.” The detainee alternated between places and areas where robberies were committed in order to complicate the investigation. Having committed crimes, the loner ran away.
Judicial police seized several items, including the gun the man had used during the robbery.
The man has no criminal record and will be present at the first judicial questioning about the use of coercive measures.
