Tesla CEO, SpaceX founder and Twitter owner Elon Musk reclaimed the title of the world’s richest man on Monday by dethroning French luxury goods company LVMH President and CEO Bernard Arnault, according to Forbes.
According to the Forbes Real Time Billionaires List, the 52-year-old billionaire managed to regain his seat after Tesla’s share price soared.
Today, Musk’s net worth is up $4,100 million (€3,699 million), boosting his net worth by over 1.75% to $240,700 million.
By 13:00 local time (17:00 GMT), shares of the electric car company were up almost 2.5%, recovering from the fall last week after the presentation of Tesla trading results.
Musk is currently in the news for changing the bluebird logo of Twitter, the social network he bought last year for $44 billion, to an “X” and while it didn’t affect his fortune, it does keep him in the news.
Meanwhile, the net worth of Arnaud, the 74-year-old owner of Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Tiffany, fell 1% (4,400 million euros) to $234,900 million due to devaluation of LVMH shares.
Arno dethroned Musk from that list last December, and Musk has held the title several times since then, but never for long.
Last month they met for dinner at a luxury hotel in Paris.
Third on this list of the richest people in the world is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, with a net worth of $151,900 million.
