A car accident that occurred this Wednesday in Bucos, Cabeceiras de Basto municipality, Braga district, resulted in two injuries and forced the cutting of EN205, a civil protection source told Lusa.
In an interview with Lusa, a source from the Ave Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Defense Directorate, she explained that there was a head-on collision between two vehicles, resulting in two injuries, the severity of which is still unknown.
One of the victims is a 70-year-old man. The victim was taken to a hospital in Guimarães with minor injuries. The heavy truck driver was assisted by Cabeceirense firefighters at the scene.
As of 09:00, 17 operators were involved in rescue operations, assisted by seven vehicles.
However, the road was open to traffic.
