Oceano Cruz is the new under-20 football coach

Former Portuguese international Oceano Cruz will take over the under-20 team after he was already under-21 coach between 2009 and 2010, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) announced this Wednesday.

On the other hand, Oceano also stressed the importance of returning to work in his country, as “returning to Portugal is great.”

“I spent seven years in Iran, two years in Colombia. It’s been a long time and coming back to our country is very positive, even from a family point of view. I am very happy to be here and try to help our team,” he said.

In addition, the opportunity to return to work at Cidade do Futebol motivates Oceano, as “the conditions here are extraordinary.”

Former under-20 coach Bino Maçaeš, whose last game he played for the team ended in a 3-0 loss to the Czech Republic in Opava, remains in the FPF, changing levels.
