Eight children and two adults are stranded on a cable car over 365 meters high in a mountainous region of Pakistan. Rescue work will take place on Tuesday.
“The cable car is suspended at a height of 365 meters above the ground. Rescue work is not possible without a helicopter and experienced rescuers are needed to ensure smooth operation,” said Tanvir Ur Rehman, a local official in the Battagram district.
In accordance with CNN International, the children were walking to school when one of the cables of the cable car broke. The country’s Disaster Management Authority requested helicopter assistance to rescue stranded passengers.
