The teachers held several vigils on Tuesday afternoon in different parts of the country to express their appreciation for the teacher. In Aveiro, in the Plaza Joaquim de Melo Freitas, about 50 teachers joined the initiative.
The vigil was convened by teachers’ trade unions ASPL – Federal Association of Licensed Teachers, Fenprof – National Federation of Teachers, Pró-Ordem, SEPLEU – Union of Educators and Licensed Teachers, SINAPE – National Union of Educational Professionals, SINDEP – National Union E Demomo dos Professores, SIPE – Independent Union of Teachers and Educators and SPLIU – National Union of Teachers who graduated from polytechnics and universities.
