Donald Trump has overtaken Ron DeSantis in the number of votes among the Republican candidates for the presidency of the United States.
According to the latest polls prepared for Washington PostThe former US president lost the advantage he had over the first debate between the party’s candidates, in which Trump did not participate, held on Thursday night in Wisconsin.
Trump increased from 66% of the vote to 61%. Conversely, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis rose from 62% to 67%.
Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy came in third with 46% of the vote. Former Vice President of the United States during the Trump presidency Mike Pence is 23%.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024.
