The Board of Arbitration (CA) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) confirmed to Luza this Sunday that the video referee (VAR) audio and video connection was broken in the game between FC Porto and Aroca from the I league, promising to analyze.
In a statement sent to Lusa, CA noted that “there was an audio/video break in Porto Aroca’s game – closer to the 90th minute.”
“Audio and video communications have been resumed during the compensation period” and “the disruption of communications will be analyzed from a technical point of view and the findings made public.”
In Sunday’s League I matchday four between Porto and Aroca, referee Miguel Nogueira resorted to VAR to evaluate a possible penalty kick by Iranian Mehdi Taremi, who noted that he had canceled the decision after a telephone conversation without looking at the image of the bet.
At the time, the Arouca team were winning 1-0 thanks to a goal from Cristo González in the 84th minute and a draw by Evanilson’s Dragons at 90+19, after the Lisbon association referee had signaled a 90+15 penalty that Galeno missed.
