The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGR) received between July and August 14 cases of domestic violence in the municipality of Sintra, with scenarios of aggression, trauma and threats, leading to three preventive arrests, as announced this Wednesday.
According to the PGR on its website, these incidents were recorded as part of the intervention of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (OP) through the specialized integrated units against domestic violence in Sintra.
The GRP adds that “two attacks occurred at the time of the commission of the crime, and the rest occurred outside the act of commission of the crime (through a complaint), in connection with the commission of crimes of domestic violence, aggravating domestic violence against spouses, partners, ex-partners, girlfriends, children, mother and father, and the crime of forgery.”
As part of the intervention, according to the GRR, the three accused were placed in preventive detention, a ban on contact, a ban on approaching the victim’s place of residence, workplace and any other place where the victim is located, a ban on staying at the victim’s place of residence or in the family home and a ban to contact with electronic surveillance.
