The mayor of Porto announced this Thursday that the municipality has failed to notify the management of the Stop shopping center condominium of its intention to close the premises and its closure has been delayed by 10 working days.
“As far as I have been able to find out, as of Thursday morning, despite all the steps taken, we still have not been able to notify the administrator. [do encerramento]. From what I have now been told, I will be notified in person this Thursday, so that the 10 working days required by law will have expired,” reads the mayor’s letter sent to Lusa.
Moreira also said that the municipality’s intention is to organize a crowdfunding campaign with the musicians to raise money for the necessary restoration work on the building.
