About 110 fighters this Friday at 23:30 fought a forest fire that broke out in the municipality of Castro Daire, Viseu district, and which had two fronts, a Civil Protection source told Lusa.
The fire alarm in Labonsinho, municipality of Castro Daire, was raised at 20:42.
A source from the subregional command of Viseu-Dau-Lafoynes said at 23:30 that the fire had two active fronts, one of which had given way to the media.
At another source of fire, resources were preparing for battle, he said.
The same source stressed that there were no reports of any houses being damaged or in danger and that the fire was burning in the bushes.
According to the website of the National Emergency Management and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), at 23:45 there were 110 first responders on the scene, supported by 31 vehicles.
