Speaking to Lusa, Paulo Santos from the National Emergency Management and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) said that 142 incidents occurred in the Lisbon municipality and 42 in the Setubal peninsula.
Eight areas of mainland Portugal were orange on Tuesday due to wind and heavy rain, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
Areas of Lisbon, Coimbra and Leiria are under a yellow warning due to strong winds forecast, while Vila Real is under a yellow warning due to rain.
Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo and Aveiro are under an orange warning due to wind and heavy rain.
